INFORMATION & CONDITIONS               a) Cars to which roof racks cannot be fitted (A-B-C-F-H-M-N) On cars to which roof racks can be fitted a fee of € 7 per day will be charged to clients. Minimum charge € 21.00 and maximum € 98.00 per rental.  > These cars are equipped with radio (A-B-C-F-H-I-J-M-N)  > These cars are equipped with air bag (F-I-J)  > These cars are equipped with air bag for driver and passenger (A-B-C-H-M)  > These cars are equipped with power steering (A-B-C-F-H-I-J-M-N)  > These cars are equipped with sun roof (N)  > These cars are equipped with air conditioning (A-B-C-F-H-I-J-M-N)  > Normal office hours in all our branches through the country are from 9:00am to 1:00pm and from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Closed on the 25th December and 01st January.  > Normal hours at the airports of Lisbon and Faro are from 6:00am to 24:00pm. At Oporto are from 7:00am to 24:00pm.   Except on 24th and 31st December as close time is at 07:00pm. Closed on the 25th December and 01st of January Note For each delivery or collection outside of our normal hours at airports a fee of € 18.00 will be charged by Auto Jardim directly to the customer. During normal hours at office locations a fee of € 5.00 (each way) will be charged for pick up of drop off away from the office. At locations without office, charge will be made at € 0.50 per kilometre from the nearest office.   An airport tax of € 25.00 will be charged by Auto Jardim directly to the clients at the airport of Lisbon and OPorto Rates include: unlimited mileage insurance (except Excess CDW), 24h travelling assistance and VAT   Baby Seats: May also be supplied on request. The cost for this will be € 6.00 per day charged directly to the client. Maximum € 84.00 per rental. Passenger Insurance: May also be supplied by Auto Jardim. The cost for this will be € 5.00 per day charged directly to the client. Additional Driver: For each additional driver mentioned on the rental agreement Auto Jardim will charge €19.00 directly to the client. Young Drivers: All drivers between 21 and 25 years old must pay directly to Auto Jardim an additional tax of € 4.00 per day. To be covered by Insurance, Drivers must be duly mentioned on the Rental Agreement. Collecting in Advance: We shall not refund the booking of the rental days which were not used. Domestic one way Rentals: LISBON / OPORTO / LISBON € 50,00 for rentals lower than 3 days LISBON / FARO / LISBON € 50,00 for rentals lower than 3 days OPORTO / FARO / OPORTO € 100,00 for rentals lower than 3 days     International one way Rentals are not permitted.   VERY IMPORTANT THE CLIENT (WHETHER DRIVER OR NOT) IS ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR AN EXCESS ON THE AMOUNT OF €900.00 FOR GROUPS A, B, AND C, €1,500.00 FOR GROUPS D, E1, I and J, €2,000.00 FOR GROUPS F, G, G1, H and N, AND €3,000.00 FOR THE REMAINING GROUPS, IN CASE OF A SELF- PROVOKED ACCIDENT, IN CASE OF DAMAGES CAUSED BY ACTS OF VANDALISM, IN CASE THEFT OF THE VEHICLE OR THEFT OF ANY OF ITS ACCESSORIES, AS LONG AS THE DRIVER IS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE GUILTY PARTY. THIS PAYMENT MUST BE MADE UPON THE DELIVERY OF THE CAR, IN CASH (EURO OR FOREIGN CURRENCY) OR BY CREDIT CARD. THE REFERRED PAYMENT WILL BE REFUNDED TO THE CLIENT AT THE END OF THE RENTAL, IN CASE NO ACCIDENT HAS TAKEN PLACE, AS WELL AS NO DAMAGES HAVE BEEN CAUSED TO THE VEHICLE BY ACTS OF VANDALISM, THEFT OF THE VEHICLE OR ANY OF ITS ACCESSORIES. THIS SITUATION CAN ONLY BE ELIMINATED WITH THE PAYMENT OF AN INSURANCE OF €9.00 PER DAY FOR GROUPS A, B,  AND C, €11.00 PER DAY FOR GROUPS D, E1, I and J, €15.00 FOR GROUPS F, G, G1, H and N, AND €20.00 FOR THE REMAINING GROUPS. THIS AMOUNT HAS TO BE PAID BY THE CLIENT WHEN RECEIVING THE VEHICLE. IN CASE OF ACCIDENT BY OUR CAR DRIVER’S FAULT TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION PORTUGUESE LAW, INSURANCE COMPANIES DECLINE ANY OR ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT DRIVER OF ALL DAMAGES CAUSED TO THE HIRED VEHICLE OR TO THIRD PARTIES WHENEVER IT IS DETECTED THAT THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL, NARCOTICS, DRUGS OR TOXIC PRODUCTS OR BY INSANITY OF THE DRIVER. ALSO IF THE CLIENT USES THE CAR IN SPORTIVE COMPETITIONS, RACES, RALLIES OR CHALLENGES, CONTESTS, BETS, ETC. WE ALSO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO INFORM THAT EVEN IF THE CAR'S DRIVER IS NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY OF THE ABOVE ITEMS BUT BY ANY MEANS ALSO DESTROYS OUR CAR BY HIS OWN FAULT WE SHALL NOT REFUND ANY AMOUNT FOR THE TIME LEFT TO COMPLETE THE RENTAL AND WE ONLY GIVE ANOTHER CAR THROUGH A LARGE DEPOSIT THAT MAY COVER EVENTUAL DAMAGES THAT CAN BE CAUSED TO THE NEW CAR. WE WOULD LIKE CLIENTS TO BE WELL INFORMED ABOUT THE ABOVE SITUATION. ALL BOOKINGS ARRIVING AT OUR HEAD OFFICE-BOOKING DEPARTMENT WITH LESS THAN 5 DAYS TO DELIVERY TIME WILL BE CONFIRMED ON REQUEST.
